Artist Video Series for MiaThrives: Artists Thriving with EB
We created a video series for the organization MiaThrives. MiaThrives is a non-profit organization – dedicated to supporting the emotional needs of Canadian children living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Their goal is to empower this generation of Butterfly Children. Also, they hope to help these children enjoy a social life filled with friendship, belonging, and purpose, rather than one lived in shame and isolation.
Here is Mary’s story – to watch the entire series of inspiring artists head to: https://miathrives.org/kaleidoscope-videos/
THE OBJECTIVE
MiaThrives needed to raise awareness for those living with EB. Similarly, they want to ensure those living with the rare skin disease will gain a sense of empowerment. The organization wanted to showcase how an individual can lead a purposeful, fulfilling life. despite the often severe challenges of having EB.
THE SOLUTION
We had the privilege of meeting and filming twelve unique and talented individuals. We were able to interview them, share their stories, and capture B-roll of them in action. As a result, we created a main video for each artist. These videos were about 2 minutes long, and were shared on social media and the MiaThrives website. We also produced a 1 minute version sized for instagram. In addition to this, we were able to make these interviews cinematic and engaging, through the use of creative visuals.
