We’d like to introduce you to a new Toronto Podcast – The Lingerie Stories.
One of the greatest parts about our job is that we get to meet interesting people doing truly amazing things, and Deedee Crosland is one of them. Deedee has worked in the intimate apparel industry for over twenty years. She is based in Toronto, Ontario, but her work has taken her across the world with global brands like Calvin Klein, Warners and Paul Frank. Whether it is her obsession with pyjamas or her fascination with silk, Deedee is passionate about what she does and it shines through in her Toronto Podcast.
Deedee contacted us to create a corporate video that would launch her new Toronto podcast, “The Lingerie Stories.” Although the podcast is about intimate apparel, each episode reaches far beyond lingerie and touches the soul. Whether it is sharing a laugh or a tissue, the podcast connects people through the power of storytelling. For this reason, we wanted the video to capture the same sense of community that the podcast conveys.
It was important for the interviews to feel natural and conversational. To do this, we used wide angle lenses to capture a sense of the space to give viewers the feeling that they are in the room and a part of the conversation. We also used as much natural light as possible to give the interviews an uplifting quality. There are many considerations that make finding interview locations difficult (light, sound, size, noise, etc.). Finding the right space is well worth the time as it not only makes the interviewees look and sound great, but it also helps tell the story. At FlyPress, we are very intentional about every decision. Whether it is the light, the sound, or the location, we believe that excellence is found in details.
We see that Deedee is really on to something using storytelling to engage her audience within an industry that is typically image driven. We really enjoyed working with Deedee on her promotional video and know that she will find great success.
