Using Drone Video to Promote Your Business in 2020
As a business owner, your job is to share your business’ story and spread the message of what your brand does. We believe that video is the best tool to effectively communicate how your business can help customers. Research shows that in 2020, 92% of marketers consider video to be one of the most important parts of their marketing strategy.
However, as more and more businesses are using video to market their products, there is an increasing need for these videos to be engaging and let you stand out from the crowd. Fortunately, there is an aspect you can add to your video that many are not taking advantage of yet.
Drone video is a powerful tool that your business can use to help increase viewer engagement. Whether it’s adding a dynamic b-roll shot in your story video, or showing off your impressive property or business headquarters, drone footage can add a next level perspective to showcase your business. We hear from our clients all the time how an aerial shot in their brand video was the best way to showcase what they do.
Check out how we used aerial footage to demonstrate Mama Earth’s food delivery service:
So, drone footage is a fun and engaging aspect to add to your video marketing – but why hire FlyPress to do it?

Understanding Drone Regulations in 2020
As of June 1, 2019, Transport Canada issued new regulations for remotely piloted aircraft requiring all pilots to register their aircraft and pass a pilot certification exam and in-person flight review.
3 members of our team have been certified with an Advanced Pilot Certification and are equipped to obtain permission from NAV Canada for flights in controlled airspace. This allows us to capture footage in cities, over by-standers, and at public events.
The Advanced Operations Certification allows us to legally film for commercial purposes in areas where others cannot. However, with increasing concerns about drone safety, Transport Canada has made it a complex process to obtain certification. Less than 10% of drone operators have been able to pass the advanced certification, meaning of the few people who are able to operate drones, even fewer are able to film legally in controlled airspace. This is why we have made sure to certify 3 of our team members and remove any limits when it comes to capturing aerial footage.
Our pilots have over 5 years of experience in drone operation and are equipped to capture aerial footage that will bring your brand video to the next level. We believe that beautiful drone video can bring a unique perspective to your business video.
